Writing Prompt: Search and Find
PROMPT:
Write a scene using the image and/or the picture. "It wasn't what they'd been searching for. It was more."
TEACHER TIPS:
We are all inspired by different things. Some - by words, others - by images. Ask students to raise their hand for one or the other and then distribute the corresponding prompt... only the words or only the picture. The PDF attached has 3 versions (words/pictures/both) so everyone can get what they need to get going. After writing, ask students to share with someone who chose the opposite inspiration starting point (words/picture) and have them discuss their story similarities and differences and where the prompt led them to travel.
