POV and Perspective: A Mini Writing Lesson

Listen in as the word nerd explains how point of view and perspective can transform a story. Learn how to choose between first, second, and third person in your writing and also some unique vantage points your narrator can take. Who is telling a story, and from what perspective, can be two of the most important choices an author makes.  In this video author and educator, Amanda Zieba, reviews 1st, 2nd and 3rd person POV and shows examples of each point of view in action. Then she explains how perspective is slightly different than POV and lists aspects of a character that can influence their storytelling perspective, which can in turn impact a story. Amanda closes out the video with some specific fractured fairytale ideas and general writing tips. Happy writing ya'll!
