Each Friday I share the first chapter of a favorite book for middle schoolers. Today I’ll be reading aloud the first chapter of the Newbery Medal winning The Invention of Hugo Cabret written and illustrated by Brian Selznick.
Book Blurb: Orphan, clock keeper, and thief, Hugo lives in the walls of a busy Paris train station, where his survival depends on secrets and anonymity.
